Romania EURO 2008 Adidas football shirts


Romania were drawn in Group C the so-called "Group of Death", with Holland, Italy, the
current world champions and France, runners-up in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. They started with a sluggish 0-0 draw againt France. In thier next game against Italy draw 1-1, Adrian Mutu, opened the scoring early in the second half. Their lead was a very short one, as Christian Panucci scored a minute later, with the aid of a corner kick. Nearing the end of the match, Daniel Niculae obtained a penalty for his team, Buffon saved the shot from Mutu, leaving Romania with two points and needing a win against towering Holland. Holland beat Romania 2-0 in the final game of the group, which meant that Italy joined Holland in the quarter finals and Romania finished 3rd, ahead of France.

Romania EURO 2008 Adidas home shirt has a orange base colour and blue as secondary colour and blue secondary colour. The collar is round and blue. and being Adidas, it has three stripes going down the sleeves in blue. The Adidas logo is in the centre on the chest, while the Romania logo is on the left when worn. Under the arms, there is a curved stripe mainly in blue with some red going down to the end of the shirt. The stripe continues at the back of the shirt and is connected to the underarm end of the front stripe. At the back, the stripe gets thinner and forms a U-shape. There are also two small logos on the bottom part of the shirt at the front.
